Klagenfurt's Top Attractions

Neuer Platz Square Klagenfurt

the square is the heart of Klagenfurt and contains Klagenfurt's mascot Lindwurm fountain dragon fountain as its centerpiece along with statues of Maria Theresa. Another feature of the square is the Trinity column, which was erected in 1689 and is to commemorate the plague victims with its symbols of the world's religions as its motifs. There are shops, cafes, restaurants and bars all around the square. Nice to relax and people watch while taking in the history.
